WHAT IS MEXICO'S OLYMPIC LAW?

Because Mexico is the only country with this judicial framework, this law is not in effect in Honduras. " Olympia Law " is the colloquial name for a regulation that tries to tackle the phenomenon of cyberbullying.

It takes its name from a social media campaign launched by activist Olimpia Coral Melo, who was the victim of the unlawful internet distribution of an intimate film.

The Olimpia Law intends to impose criminal and administrative penalties on anyone who distribute sexually explicit photos or videos without the agreement of persons involved.

As well as activities that result in digital violence, such as online harassment and harassment via digital media.

The passage of this law in various Mexican states is a significant step forward in the battle against cyberbullying and online gender violence, with the goal of providing legal protection to victims and discouraging those who engage in such behavior.
